BASINOX 308H is a basic coated electrode for welding austenitic, creep resistant steels with higher carbon contents, type 18%Cr – 8%N. The controlled ferrite content in the weld metal confers a high resistance to hot cracking with little sensitivity to embrittlement. Operating temperatures are between 400º-700ºC and the deposit is insusceptible to scaling up to 800ºC.
